Kind of Scary, Power of Thoughts. | Shlomo Ezagui | The Blogs – The Times of Israel

Surrounding every person is an atmosphere of paradise and hell. When a person generates Godliness and positivity, their thoughts evoke paradise’s harmonious atmosphere and energies. Ungodly, negative thoughts strengthen the atmosphere and energy of hell around a person.

Thoughts are powerful. They significantly impact the soul and may become a steering force in one’s life. An essential characteristic of thinking is influencing the atmosphere and the vibrations of energy surrounding you.

So, the choice of what you think is not just a personal one, impacting only your own life; it will shape the world around you.

One of the mystics writes, “When you walk into the four cubits of a person, and good thoughts come into your mind, most likely the person around you is a Godly person. However, if you should have negative thoughts, bad and unproductive ones, this is proof you just came in contact and encountered a not-so-good person.”

We all know how terrible it is to gossip and speak badly of people. The sages say it is equal to the worst transgressions. In the book of Zechariah, he goes further and says, “One should not even think badly of his friend in his heart.” The reason is that even thinking such thoughts will negatively influence that person.

“A good thought God brings to fulfillment.” The power of thought is that it alone can and will manifest reality. Because thought is higher than time and space, it can transport us to the past or the future; this is why, through thought, a person can influence the lower dimensions of both time and space. This power of thought applies to others as well. When a person has positive thoughts about someone else, it will affect that person.

Good, positive, stimulating thought can reach deep inside and bring out the best light and strength from a friend who may be feeling sad. When a person thinks of someone, such as a close friend, even though they are not physically close to each other, they will be intimately connected and influence each other through the power of thought.

Great Chassidic Rabbis would set aside time when they would strongly and deeply contemplate the love they had for their students and followers. From many stories we know, this would arouse a reciprocal love and yearning and a great spiritual strength in the hearts of their students.

When a person looks intently at someone else, the other person, not even knowing, turns to the one looking at them. When a person thinks deeply about someone else, this energy radiates to that person like a laser beam. It’s kind of scary, but that is the power of thought.
