Music and business mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has used his knowledge and life experiences to inspire others with motivational words right from his mouth. His Instagram is filled with inspiring captions, quotes, videos and posts to encourage his 18.3 million followers.

On Wednesday, March 30, the 52-year-old shared a video that gave insight into how he encourages his children to do the same. The clip finds Diddy giving his eldest son, Justin Combs, a motivational speech that could be implemented in everyday life.

He told the 29-year-old, “It’s already begun. I want to get to the game early, Jus. We here to be champions.”

Diddy then used the work ethic of late basketball legend Kobe Bryant to exemplify how dedicated one should be.

“What they say when Kobe was there early taking 5,000 shots? Let’s get in the mindset,” Diddy continued. “Let’s show up early. Let’s show up early, baby.”

Another voice chimes in at the end, adding, “First one in the gym, last one out.”

Fans in the comments referred to Diddy as an “idol” or the “goat.” Others praised the entertainer for instilling such powerful words in his son. Here’s what others had to say.

“Diddy, no celeb motives me more than you! I’m ready to go.”

“No lies told.

“Diddy, you are the best motivator.”

“Imagine having Puff as a dad.”

“Diddy for President.”

However, a few opposing viewers disagreed with the multi-millionaire teaching his “rich kids” about work ethic and dedication.

Some said, “Rich kids don’t want to grind. Why would they? You gotta grow up hungry to know hunger. You can’t teach it or preach it.”

Justin Combs is Diddy’s firstborn son, but not his only. His mother is fashion guru and style expert Misa Hylton, whom Diddy dated in the 1990s.

Diddy later dated the deceased Kim Porter and played a significant role in raising her son, Quincy Brown, from a previous relationship. The former couple had an on-again, off-again more than 20-year relationship that produced three more children, Christain Combs, born in 1998, and twin girls D’Lila and Jessie, born in 2006. That same year, Diddy welcomed a daughter, Chance Brown, with Sarah Champan five months earlier.

The man who now goes by the nickname “Love” had a hard time after Porter died from pneumonia in November 2018. It would take two years before Diddy began opening up about his life as a single dad of six children.

In April 2020, he told Naomi Campbell, “Losing Kim and now being a single father of six, my thinking had to change. I had to really get focused on their futures because I know how rough it is out there.”
